A beautiful earring set from our collection of Native American jewelry from Zuni Pueblo New Mexico. Handmade in sterling silver. They are handmade with natural Mother of Pearl by Zuni Artist Delorna Lahi.

Zuni jewelers are well known for their exacting lapidary work that celebrates the stones and shells in mosaic designs. Stone setting techniques include cluster work, needlepoint, channel and mosaic inlay. Silver was introduced in their jewelry style around the 1870’s, after silversmith work was learned from Navajos. Turquoise, mother of pearl, spiny oyster shells, lapis, coral, onyx and man-made opal are some of the materials used in the outstanding Zuni jewelry. Zuni Pueblo is located in New Mexico near the Arizona border.
